Job Description
Sattler College invites applications for the position ofAdjunct Faculty Memberto teachFinancial Accountingat the undergraduate level during the Spring 2025 semester. This course serves as an introduction to the principles and practices of financial accounting designed especially for students pursuing diverse callingsincluding work in science nonprofit and ministry settings. The course emphasizes the construction and interpretation of financial statements and equips students with the financial literacy required to manage resources with integrity and purpose.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in accounting a passion for undergraduate teaching and a deep commitment to Sattlers mission of academic excellence and Christian discipleship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a semester-long course covering key accounting topics including revenue recognition inventory long-lived assets present value and long-term liabilities.
- Guide students in preparing and interpreting income statements balance sheets and statements of cash flows.
- Design assignments and discussions that emphasize ethical financial stewardship and practical decision-making for small businesses ministries and nonprofit organizations.
- Maintain a learning environment that reflects the colleges commitment to academic rigor character formation and the lordship of Jesus Christ.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on coursework and assessments.
- Participate in faculty meetings and orientation as needed and comply with Sattlers academic and spiritual standards.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a closely related field is required (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor undergraduates; experience with non-major or interdisciplinary learners preferred.
- Strong alignment with Sattler CollegesFounding PreceptsandStatement of Faith(available at); candidates must affirm and uphold these commitments in teaching and conduct.
- Experience integrating biblical ethics and financial principles in professional or educational contexts is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with learning management systems and digital teaching tools (e.g. Populi Zoom) is desirable.

Compensation:
Competitive adjunct faculty compensation based on qualifications and teaching load.
