Compliance Investigator Office of Gender Equity and Title IX

Salary:
$52232 - $71620
Basic Function:
Investigate formal complaints that fall under a variety of federal regulations such as Title VII Title IX Americans with Disabilities Act etc. Provide support in creating and coordinating the universitys Gender Equity and Title IX compliance programs. Reports to Director Gender Equity and Title IX Coordinator.

Duties/essential functions may include but not be limited to the following:
Act as a neutral party in conducting prompt and thorough formal investigations of alleged incidents and provides a detailed unbiased report regarding the findings of the investigation as well as an analysis that tracks the applicable policies and legal standards.
Provide information and conduct trainings related to an overview of compliance topics such as Title IX Title VII support resources available on and off campus reporting options the Universitys grievance procedures and employee reporting obligations.
Assist with preparation communication and implementation of the Gender Equity and Title IX compliance plan by providing analysis and insight into the quantitative/statistical analysis and data relationships within the plans.
Provide statistical information for division heads colleges and departments regarding goals for faculty staff and students.
Analyze data quantitatively and qualitatively to identify trends strengths and opportunities for improvement in achievement of Title IX goals.
Monitor and audit accuracy and integrity of transactions in the database management systems to ensure complete and accurate transfer of data from each system to prepare compliance requests and/or reports.
Assist Title IX Coordinator with processing and facilitating employee and student accommodation requests/inquiries.
Serve as Title IX Deputy Coordinator.
Serve on various department division and university committees.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in related field and two years experience in law conducting investigations personnel management student affairs resident life or higher education. Must be able to work nontraditional hours when necessary including evenings and weekends.

Juris Doctor and one year experience in law conducting investigations personnel management student affairs resident life or higher education. Must be able to work nontraditional hours when necessary including evenings and weekends.License/Certification:
None.
Knowledge Of:
A variety of federal and state laws and regulations relative to harassment discrimination and employment *

Juris Doctor. Experience or training in conducting investigations Title IX EEO laws Title VII Student Affairs Resident Life Trauma-Informed interviewing skills.
