JOB OVERVIEW The Security Supervisor/Correctional Lieutenant at the Flathead Valley Reentry Center serves as a member of the leadership team at the facility and is the highest-level security position in the facility. This is a new position at the Department of Corrections newest prerelease center. This facility provides a supportive environment for offenders to transition to the community while providing security and accountability measures to support public safety.
This position performs administrative field training and security duties relative to the safety of the public offenders and staff members and the security and orderly operation of the prerelease center.
PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER INFORMATION
This position requires POST Basic Certification after attending training at the Montana Law Enforcement Academy and successfully completing one year of employment with the Department of Corrections. In addition to the training and experience requirements to be POST Certified the successful candidate(s) must:

Tobacco Free - Use of all tobacco products including smokeless tobacco products and tobacco substitutes in Department of Corrections buildings is prohibited.In secure care facilities possession of tobacco products is also prohibited.
