Position Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Acute Care:
Provides medically prescribed services for inpatients and/oroutpatients to restore function minimize disability following disease or injury and to assist thepatient in reaching his/her maximum possible level of functioning to assume a place in societywhile learning to live within the limits of his/her disability.
The job duties are to provideassessments and treatment activities with patients.
Work frequently requires internal contactsoutside the work group to exchange work-related information.
Contact with external contactsinvolves providing or getting factual information.
Requires normal courtesy and tact in dealingwith others.
Education:Required Licensure Certification Etc.
Mastersdegree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current State licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred.
Current CPR certification.
Work Experience
Successful completion of Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship
Experience in a Post-Acute rehab setting is required
