Coordinator Fraternity and Sorority Life

Salary:
$41731 - $45000
Basic Function:
Coordinate and assist with assigned fraternity and sorority programs and services; provide project support of tasks that involve the development of leadership and educational programs and workshops that aid in the improvement of chapter operations serve as a liaison for specific fraternity and sorority chapters assist with specific risk management education and assist with student interns training and development. Reports to Associate Director Community and Belonging or designated supervisor.

Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include but not be limited to the following:
Collaborate with the Associate Director in addressing and the investigation of student conduct matters.
Serve as the chair of the Greek Review Board.
Facilitate monthly meetings with chapter presidents and/or appropriate chapter officers.
Work with the Associate Director and Division of Student Life Marketing team to coordinate marketing initiatives for the Fraternity and Sorority Life area including social media and newsletters.
Serve as liaison to University Housing for the management and oversight of university-owned Greek housing (i.e. policy development/enforcement hiring programming).
Serve as liaison between councils and campus administrators; assist in the resolution of conflicts.
Develop and implement programming related to wellness hazing prevention sexual violence prevention risk management leadership and other special programming topics as needed.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director advise umbrella councils ( Panhellenic and United Greek Council) as well as one honors society.
Aid in developing and maintaining fraternity and sorority strategic initiatives and manages recruitment efforts.
Support educational programs in collaboration with the rest of the Fraternity and Sorority Life and Center for Student Involvement leadership teams.
Support the Associate Director in supervision of the Fraternity and Sorority Life graduate assistant practicum students and student interns including but not limited to training development and performance evaluation processes.
Develop coordinate and execute values congruence and/or leadership programs that include: curriculum development logistics programmatic development volunteer recruitment and participant recruitment and retention.
Assist with general activities and programs sponsored by the Center for Student Involvement. Serve on university committees as needed.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Education Leadership or related field. Minimum of two years of experience in a university setting that has included demonstrated skill working with diverse communities and cultural groups and a proven record of management of staff and/or projects that include goal setting performance management leadership development and strategic planning. Post-baccalaureate coursework in Higher Education Student Affairs or College Student Personnel Administration may be substituted for up to one of the years of experience.
