TheHousing Support Worker (Leamington)plays a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness by facilitating access to shelter housing and essential community resources. This position requires strong assessment advocacy and case management skills to help clients navigate complex systems and work toward sustainable housing solutions.
What Youll Be Doing
Outreach Responsibilities:
What You Bring
Post-secondary education in Social Work Social Services Human Services or a related field (BSW preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness housing insecurity or related social issues.
Strong understanding of housing systems market trends and barriers affecting vulnerable populations.
Knowledge and understanding of the By Names Prioritized List (BNPL) process the SPDAT Assessment Tool Central Housing Registry applications and HIFIS data system.
Knowledge of local community services housing programs and income support systems.
Demonstrated ability to perform assessments develop support plans and manage case documentation.
Excellent communication advocacy and interpersonal skills.
Strong crisis intervention and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client database systems.
Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle may be required.
