Job Description

Position #22447 :EntryLevel ITField Tech - No Prior Experience Required

This is an off-schedule non-bargaining position

Posting Dates: 06/30/2025 07/07/2025 (Or Until Filled)

Location: Administration Center

Hours: 8 Hours per Day Temporarily for 60 Working Days Approximately August 1-October 31

Salary: $20 per Hour

Reports To: Executive Director of Information Technology

At Management Discretion 2 Positions Will Become Permanent Positions for 260 Days Per Year.

Job Description

Provide a single point of contact to the Information Technology Department. Assist staff and sometimes the public with telephone email or computer inquiries and work through the resolution of issues or create escalation support incident management and client communications for Information Technology systems faults and service requests.

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must present transcripts of highest level of education within thirty (30) days of hire if applicable.
  3. Must be able to perform the required qualifications of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  4. Must be able to meet the Physical Demands of the position.
  5. Completion of Safe Schools Web Based Training within thirty (30) days of hire and yearly thereafter.
  6. Must pass a background check which includes employee paid fingerprinting.
  7. Ability to provide own means of transportation for assignment at various sites as needed. Must have a clean driving record as indicated by driving abstract and proof of automobile insurance.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  1. Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills required for effective and courteous disposition of inquiries problems and assistance requests from the user community.
  2. Ability to make decisions quickly and work effectively in teams.
  3. Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  4. General computer / networking knowledge.
  5. Experience with email communications using Outlook and Web based email products.
  6. Must be a quick learner.
  7. Must have a pleasant and patient personality.
  8. Willingness to assume responsibility and work flexible hours.
  9. Assist in coordination of district-wide Information Technology support.
  10. Must uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures.
  11. Must take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipmentmaterials and facilities.
  12. Must attend in-service trainings or other meetings as required as well as attend any training as directed by management.
  13. Evidence of ability to assess and correct issues involving safety.
  14. Evidence of ability to approach assigned work in a professional manner working toward the common goal of teamwork pride in service delivery and continuous improvement.
  15. Must demonstrate sufficient command of the English language to communicate verbally and in writing with students parents district staff members and other concerned people regarding all aspects of their job related activities.
  16. Must be able to use basic computer programs to maintain records enter timecard information and read and respond to email.

  1. Technology Support
    • Ability to remember the status of multiple outstanding problems and yet be able to focus on one task at a time.
    • Ability to identify isolate and communicate problems from and to all levels of users and technical staff including negotiating critical times and dates to expedite services.
    • Ability to be assertive and to control conversations when necessary to gather relevant facts.
    • Schedule and perform periodic system maintenance.
    • Evidence of diplomatic and effective people and telephone skills showing the ability to establish and maintain a tactful cooperative and effective relationship with students parents staff fellow employees and management.
    • Must be able to troubleshoot computer software common printer and telephone issues remotely using effective questioning and analytical techniques.
  2. Technology Training / Orientations
    • Install software updates and provide a brief orientation for the user.
  3. Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Director of Information Technology.
