Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform GL account reconciliations
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Process accounts payable invoices
- Respond to vendor and staff inquiries concerning invoices
- Manage 1099 reporting and processing including annual e-filing
- Assist in preparing client settlement distributions
- Respond to tax notices
- Assist with quarterly and year-end processes
- Bachelors degree in accounting is preferred
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience maintaining books preferably in a law firm
- Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
- Strong work ethic well-organized self-starter
- Strong problem-solving skills documentation skills data analysis research and resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and within teams
- Ability to deliver on multiple projects simultaneously
- Capable of maintaining strict financial confidentiality
- Strong communication skills to engage with attorneys staff and vendors
