Rail Statistic Researcher (Researcher 3)

Hourly Rate: $30.55
What Youll Do:
In this position as aRail Statistic Researcher (Researcher 3) you will:
- Independently coordinate rail complaints incident investigations and all other field operations paperwork as well as all office records in the Rail Division.
- Act as an administrator for the Rail RRIS database
- Assist field inspectors with Rail Road Inspection System (RRIS) Field application issues and other administrative issues/questions they may have
- Compile all monthly and yearly statistics and Rail Division publications
- Act as the lead researcher for the Rail Division
- Process all accident incident and railroad illness and injuries reports and ensure they are correctly filed with the Federal Railroad Administration
- Serve as an informational/advisory capacity for the Rail Division to railroad and other interested parties
- Monitor and answer all calls on the Rail Division main line during business hours.
Report in location: The employees home must be located within 40 miles of 180 E. Broad St. Columbus OH 43215. This is a fulltime office job not a field position.
PUCO core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm however daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across PUCO departments. Most positions perform work on-site at the PUCO Central Office. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.
Salary Information:Unless required by legislation or union contract starting salary is set at the lowest rate of the salary range. In most cases successful employees will increase a step in the salary range within six months with subsequent step increases occurring every year. In addition the State of Ohio offers cost of living adjustments longevity supplements after five years of public service and wellness incentives.
