Job Description:
The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris is currently seeking an experienced Lead OperationsProject Manager this role will be located out of our Missile Solutions Sector Headquarters facility in Huntsville AL. The Operations Project Manager will be responsible for managing improvement projects across multiple Aerojet Rocketdyne sites. Performance to cost and schedule targets through collaboration across multiple functions is key in support of the business goals and objectives. This role will be integral to the execution of manufacturing strategies and identification of continuous improvements.
Essential Functions:
Oversight of capacity improvement projects across functions and sites.
Ability to create and execute to project schedules and budgets.
Report to senior leadership on business performance including action plans to improve business execution and status of strategic initiatives.
Identify needed capital investment to support business need (including quality process capacity capabilities & technologies)
Support the manufacturing strategy across the segment.
Requires up to 25% business travel within the continental U.S.
Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 9years of relevant operations or project management experienceGraduate Degree with a minimum of 7years of related operations or project management experience or 13years of prior relatedoperations or project management experience in lieu of a degree.
5 years experience with Project Management Capital Management and/or Budget Management.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Advanced business knowledge general management and leadership capability to lead business area or functional teams.
Broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines within the organization combining theory past practical experience and the organizations business practices.
Earned value or cost account manager experience.
A solid understanding of lean manufacturing facilities project management business practices and experience working directly with hardware in the aerospace industry is highly desirable.
Previous experience with EAR and ITAR.
