Veneer Truck Unloader

• A current resume or detailed list of education and work history is required for consideration.

• At least two years previous forklift experience.

• Ability to handle multiple projects safely and effectively.

• Initiative to identify and resolve issues.

• Must be willing to work five days a week ten (10) hours a day as operating conditions require. The scheduled shift will be 6am-4pm Monday through Friday.

• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed which may include weekends and holidays as operating conditions require.

• Willingness and ability to work at heights in confined spaces climb stairs lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial environment containing wood dust and extreme heat and cold.

One position for an hourly Veneer Truck Unloader within the Press Department is now open at the Natchitoches EWP mill. The qualified candidate would have previous forklift experience working in a wood manufacturing environment. The primary function of this role will be to safely and efficiently unload veneer from trucks.

The wage for this role is $21.86 per hour.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Use an industrial forklift to receive loads of veneer ensuring BOL matches up with veneer received.

• Enter data from BOL into Veneer Receiving bearing the date supplier PO number thickness number of bundles and ensuring a bar code ticket is printed out.

• Transport loads of veneer to the hot house.

• Affix the bar code ticket to each bundle and store accordingly in the hot house.

• Ensure the warehouse is clean organized and the veneer is stored in the correct and appropriate row(s).

• Clean rows of empty veneer as it is emptied.

• Sweep warehouse picking up scrap daily.

• Empty dumpsters as needed.

• Breakout other forklift operators as necessary.

• Maintain communication with the Supervisor and Production Lead throughout the shift.

• Complete daily forklift inspection prior to the shift to check fluids brakes lights and other forklift features.

• Refuel forklift with propane as needed.

• Other duties as assigned.
