Join Polaris Monticello as a CMM Programmer Drive Precision Innovation and Excellence! In this hands-on role youll program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) perform first article inspections and troubleshoot complex measurement challenges. Youll also help shape the future of our inspection capabilities by supporting fixture development and training others in advanced measurement techniques. With your expertise inPCDMIS or Calypso deep understanding ofGD&T and experience withmanual inspection tools youll be a key contributor to our mission of delivering world-class products. Responsibilities

  • Program CMMs per Polaris requirements.
  • Complete first article inspections as required.
  • Support and provide input for CMM fixture development.
  • Troubleshoot CMM measurement issues (programming hardware etc.).
  • Develop and manage CMM maintenance routines plans and activities.
  • Train others on proper measuring equipment and measuring techniques.
  • Ensure proper selection and oversight/maintenance of inspection or measurement devices.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills

  • 3 years of experience of CMM programming (PCDMIS strongly preferred Calypso preferred). Experience programming for complex parts preferred.
  • 3 years machining blueprint reading and GD&T experience preferred.
  • First article inspection (FAI) experience preferred.
  • Experience using a wide variety of manual inspection equipment (e.g. bore gages micrometers pins comparator etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret CMM reports.
  • Ability to navigate Excel software efficiently.

Education

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Technical (trades certificate/diploma) or equivalent training preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment.
  • Constantly wear required PPE (including safety-toed shoes/boots safety glasses hearing protection).
  • Frequently able to lift or move up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasional exposure to chemicals.
  • Definitions: Constant (6-8 hrs./shift); Frequent (2-5 hrs./shift); Occasional (up to 2 hrs./shift).

Minimum/starting rate: $27.00/hour
