Shared Services Manager (Afterhours) Schedule includes nights and weekends Description Provides leadership towards the achievement of team and company objectives while maintaining alignment with company vision and enterprise objectives. Drives performance of the after-hours teamin delivering a high level of service to customers by tracking shipments managing and escalating exceptions coordinating carrier coverage and resolving issues with urgency and professionalism.In collaboration with leaders across the company this role ensures successful daily freight executionthrough proactive communication strong attention to detail and consistent operational follow-throughto provide the best service to our customers. Duties and responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: - Operates as primary point of contact for troubleshooting and issue resolution outside normal business hours working cross-functionally as needed to determine the best course of action and implement solutions.
- Assists and coaches team members in troubleshooting and resolving problems including identifying issues thinking critically to determine the best course of action implementing solutions and escalating to the appropriate manager or individual.
- Plans the after-hours workforce needs to support timely pick-up and delivery of freight for all brokerage and freight management customer accounts.
- Identifies and implements opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand the state of the business to execute action plans and work toward continuous improvement for operational excellence.
- Substantially involved in the multi-level transmission of administrative and operational information to ensure the achievement of both Shared Services and company-wide objectives.
- Provides concise regular updates on team metrics and progress to leadership.
- Supports document retrieval on delivered loads within the company-established timeframe.
- Supports Carrier Relations in carrier set-up needed after normal business hours.
- Monitors data analytics and TMS dashboards and shared inboxes daily for efficiency accuracy and follows up with team members as needed.
- Conducts daily audits tracks operational defects and provides team members with the necessary coaching development tools resources and support to achieve both individual and company goals.
- Works a schedule mainly outside normal business hours to include at least one weekend day/evening.

Qualifications Qualifications to perform the job successfully include: - Education: 4-year degree preferred
- 3-5 years industry specific experience with logistics/carrier procurement preferred
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Driven enthusiastic and highly motivated
- Commitment to executional excellence and outstanding customer service
- Excellent time management skills; capable to manage and prioritize work and customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
