Job Description:
Aerojet Rocketdyne a L3 Harris Technologies Company is seeking a Project Engineer forour Huntsville AL. The Specialist Project Engineer role involves performing and/or coordinating propulsion program tasks in conjunction with program management. Undergeneralsupervision this role may be responsible for implementing design and analysis tasks and overseeing special studies and experiments not typically considered complex. Familiarity with standard engineering tools and practices will be helpful with analysis of issues.
Essential Functions:
- Theories principles and practices of engineering and project management methods.
- May coordinate ballistic thermal and structural analyses.
- Perform post-test examination analyses and reporting while supporting the program technical lead.
- Use of engineering test equipment CAD and computer applications with various office and engineering software applications.
- Rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation.
- Understanding and/or leading Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process.
- Read and interpret specifications (also write) and technical drawings.
- Conduct technical and programmatic risk assessments.
- Interpret and evaluate engineering problems and statements.
- Use a variety of test and measurement equipment to interpret data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 4years of prior project engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2years of prior project engineering experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 8years of prior project engineering experience.
