Job Description
Staff Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our client in Randolph NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 2nd Shift: 4PM - 12:30AM
- Plus Overtime
Pay Rate:
- $30 - $35 / hour
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on the 2ndshift. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a reputable manufacturing facility. The idealcandidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of productionequipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment includingmixers fillers labelers conveyors and packaging machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic issues.
- Repair or replace components such as motors pumps valves belts and sensors.
- Ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely following SOPs GMP and OSHAguidelines.
- Document maintenance tasks repairs and inspections accurately in a CMMS or manuallog.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to support smooth operations.
- Assist with equipment installations upgrades and line changeovers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area including tools and spare parts inventory.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferably in cosmeticspharmaceutical or food manufacturing.
- Demonstrated mechanical skills and hands-on experience working with manufacturing machinery.
- Foundational understanding of electrical systems PLC diagnostics and utility systems maintenance.
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with GMP FDA and safety compliance standards.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
