Summary
The Process Engineer is a subject matter expert on tea manufacturing process representing the Engineering & Technical Services TEAm as a business partner to the Manufacturing Operational Excellence Procurement and Quality Assurance TEAms.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains Technical Processing Equipment Specifications across the enterprise.
- Identifies and executes cost savings initiatives.
- Subject Matter Expert on Process Equipment.
- Partnership with the QA TEAm to ensure equipment is properly validated and operating within required specifications.
- Subject Matter Expert in developing and maintaining design & operating standards for process equipment
- Develops training plans for Engineering and Maintenance TEAm Members.
- Ensures Maintenance TEAms have access to useful and actionable Preventative Maintenance procedures for maintaining process equipment.
- Supports the development of Miloss Tea Company automation projects from both a technical perspective and through business intelligence & expertise.
- Follow safety policy and procedures including but not limited to lock out-tag-out hot work permit and confined space.
- Upholds and demonstrates leadership in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
- This position has food Safety Responsibilities.
- Other responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering with 2 years of experience in process or project engineering
- Experience with industrial controls systems.
- Experience with use of Microsoft Office software.
- Experience in utilizing P&IDs in an industrial environment.
- Capable to work both independently and as part of a larger group.
- Food and beverage experience preferred
Supervisory:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle reach with hands and arms see talk and hear. The employee is required to stand walk stoop or kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met or that an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
