Hastings Deering (Australia) LtdReady to lead the engine room of innovation We are on the lookout for an Engineering Operations Supervisor to join our high-performing Engineering team at Hastings Deering.
In this pivotal role you will oversee the full lifecycle of our Hastings Deering engineered solutions - from part master data and vendor management to procurement and compliance. You will also lead a small technical team providing system support across the business and driving continuous improvement to deliver on our engineered value promise.
Reporting to our Engineering Manager your key responsibilities will include:
Manage SOS 200 master data in Autodesk Vault and Microsoft AX (ERP) including BOMs pricing and product specs
Oversee vendor selection quoting processes and data integrity
Support procurement and ensure accurate setup of Engineering Standard (STD) jobs
Partner with SMEs and suppliers to maintain quality and compliance
Lead and coach a team of two technical professionals
Support operations with ERP functionality and part processing
Ensure timely vendor delivery and manage document control and IP
Oversee Esker tasks and invoice reconciliation
Champion continuous improvement and team development
About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
Tertiary qualifications in business commerce or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years post-trade experience including 3 years leading a team
Strong background in inventory parts admin or supply chain within a complex or industrial environment
Experience with Caterpillar or similar heavy industry is highly desirable
Solid ERP knowledge (AX preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office
A proactive mindset and a passion for driving operational excellence
