What youll be doing
As the Manager EAML Examinations you will be reporting to the Director EAML Examinations. You will be responsible for conducting testing of specific CIBC businesses and activities to assure compliance with CIBCs Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing and Sanctions Policy requirements associated standards and guidelines relevant sections of applicable laws and regulations and any guidelines issued by FINTRAC or other regulators.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You will have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where youll spend 1-3 days per week on-site while other days will be remote.
How you will succeed
Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing (AML/ATF) and Sanctions testing- Plan and conduct examinations to provide reasonable assurance that applicable AML/ATF and Sanctions policies and procedures are followed including sampling of transactions files and reports.
Business acumen Using your knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations assess the appropriateness of business control processes to mitigate Money Laundering Terrorist Financing and Sanctions Risk.
Reporting Submit a report to the business examined at the conclusion of each examination indicating specific findings ratings and identifying remedial actions required to address any identified issues.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience inleading examinations/audits or compliance reviews. Proficiency in the understanding and application of AML/ATF and Sanctions related legislation and regulation is required. Knowledge and experience with testing AML/ATF controls and methodologies is a strong advantage in this role.
It is an asset if you have ACAMS ACFCS CPA or CIA designations.
