Details:Monday-Friday 40 hours (time will vary based on weekly needs)
Overview:
JP Services is looking for a Warehouse and Yard Technician to join the team. As a Warehouse and Yard Technician you will be responsible for Load-In and Load-Out Duties & Yard and Shop Organization.
Position Summary:
The Shop and Yard Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pipeline service company. This individual will be responsible for the organization and maintenance of the companys shop and yard areas as well as providing support to the operations team including Load In and Load Out duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Load In and Load Out:
- Efficiently load and unload equipment tools and materials onto/from company vehicles and trailers.
Shop and Yard Organization:
- Maintain a clean and organized shop and yard area.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of tools equipment and supplies.
Assistance to Operations Team:
- Assist the operations team in preparing equipment and materials for projects.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety checks on equipment and report any safety concerns immediately.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding equipment status load-in/out activities and maintenance needs.
- Report any equipment or shop-related issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of shop and yard organization best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid drivers license and a clean driving record (if required).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand bend stoop and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to operate a small/medium forklift.
