Seeking a motivated individual for a Metrology & Test Equipment Maintenance - Calibration Technician role at Raytheon located in Andover Massachusetts. The Metrology Department encompasses the Calibration of equipment supporting over 450 test platforms representing numerous production programs. The complement of test stations and components serviced includes digital/logic & solid state Radio Frequency DC AC power vibration in-circuit probe test linear measurement and burn-in ESD among many others.
As the Calibration Technician you will work closely with the Engineering team and production operators to support the Metrology & Test Equipment Maintenance Calibration Labs. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the calibration of electronic devices used in the testing and assembly of cutting-edge military hardware. You will be responsible for training of production operators incorporating process improvements and driving cost reductions. This role will not only allow you to work side by side with some of our best and brightest but also gain the experience and exposure necessary to advance your career.
What You Will Do
Assist the production floor with daily issues enabling calibrations and ensuring that processes are being followed.
Resolving problems preventing products from meeting customer requirements.
Interface with various functions including Quality Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and Operations Management.
Apply your thorough knowledge of calibration processes and a hands-on understanding of the product and equipment.
Qualifications You Must Have
High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
6 years of experience in repair/calibration of testmeasurement ordiagnostic equipment.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
