We are now hiring a Financial Controller to help us build a modern and scalable finance function. As ElBits continues to grow were strengthening our internal finance function to better support decision-making enhance reporting and simplify our financial processes. Youll work closely with our Finance Manager and external finance provider playing a key role in bringing more finance tasks in-house and building a solid foundation for the future.
This role will help shape and improve our core finance routines. Youll be part of a small dedicated operations team that collaborates across the company driving better structure and smarter ways of working. What will you do
As Financial Controller youll take ownership of key finance operations and play an active role in improving how we work. Your tasks will include:
- Own day-to-day finance operations including incoming and outgoing invoicing.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable.
- Support monthly closing tasks journal entries and reconciliations.
- Help facilitate the implementation of a new ERP system.
- Act as superuser and go-to person for finance systems and tools.
- Support financial reporting analysis and oversight - including monthly quarterly and annual reports in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes alongside the Finance Manager.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and insource tasks reducing reliance on our external finance provider.
- Build the foundation for better decision-making with cleaner data and more robust processes.

Who are you
Were looking for someone curious eager to learn and who wants to help shape how we work. We hope you have:
- Bachelors/Masters degree in finance accounting economics or a related field.
- 2 years of experience from a comparable role.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial control.
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems and maintaining financial records.
- Experience supporting period-end processes ensuring accuracy in profit & loss and balance sheet reporting.
- Proficient with digital tools and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English written and spoken.
- A structured detail-oriented approach with solid execution skills.
- Proactive with ideas and a desire to improve how things are done and to take initiative.
- High integrity and a responsible approach to handling sensitive data.

What does the process look like

- After that well set up a Meet & Greet with our Finance Manager and our recruitment advisor.
- For the second interview well have a more in-depth discussion about your experience and understanding of the role. Here we will inform you about our way of working and more about us. We conduct a case exercise as well as a personality assessment through Fairsight.
- The final chat will involve a meeting with our CEO.
- We do a couple of reference checks and send you an offer!
