Intermediate to Senior Legal Administrative Assistant Family Law & Litigation
Location: Downtown Vancouver BC
Salary Range: $65000 $80000 per annum competitive benefits package (including RRSP matching)
Our client a well-established mid-sized full-service law firm in downtown Vancouver is seeking an intermediate to senior Legal Administrative Assistant to join their litigation department. This opportunity supports two lawyers practicing in family law and general commercial litigation and would suit a team-oriented candidate who is passionate about family law and fluent in Mandarin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain efficient file management systems including bring-forward reminders for limitation and follow-up dates.
- Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence using templates and precedents.
- Coordinate and schedule litigation events such as trials applications and examinations for discovery.
- Liaise with clients courts opposing counsel and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage lists of documents for litigation files.
- Assist with communications and documentation for Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Support billing and month-end accounting procedures including invoice preparation and payment follow-up.
What You Bring:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant in family law or commercial litigation.
- Completion of a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant program.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office 365 and PDF editing tools.
- Proficiency with BC Online LTSA and other legal platforms.
- Excellent communication organization and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Mandarin is required.
