Job Description
Position Criteria:
- High school education or equivalent
Performance Criteria:
- Assist with classes of up to 10 students all working independently on credit recovery online classes independent study classes. Answer questions as needed prepare all of the work packets and tests and grade them as well.
- Administer the online classes helping with any computer issues or questions. Try to keep students up to date with their general education classes. Determine what work is missing and try to help students stay on track or catch up. For credit recovery gather missing materials or supplemental work for the credit that was not earned to be recovered
- Maintain a database of all independent student scores for both the Math Interventionist and Language Arts Interventionist as well as other teachers who may be using these classes. When the class is complete inform the teacher of record and they will enter grade into PowerSchool. Also maintain a database of all the courses our students have earned and maintain a database that is a running log of the At Risk Students current progress that the counsellors and interventionists review each week.
- Supervise the classroom one block per day when the Interventionist goes out to co-teach a section of Math.
- Supervise a combined section of both the Math and LA Interventionists students each week when they meet for PLC.
- Print and assemble all of the packets and tests for all of the independent study courses the At Risk and sometimes others use. Doneat the beginning of each term as students complete one course and move on to the next and on a moments notice when we receive a new student.
- Find textbooks and other classroom supplies like headphones/earbuds that need to be ordered online at Amazon or the publishers websites.
