Controls Engineer
Direct Hire St. Paul MN $80k -120K
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to design program and support automation solutions across a range of industries. You will be responsible for developing control system architectures programming PLCs/HMIs and supporting installation and commissioning of systems at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop control systems using Rockwell Siemens or similar platforms.
- Program PLCs HMIs and SCADA systems based on customer specifications.
- Create electrical schematics and panel layouts using EPLAN or Solidworks Electrical.
- Provide technical support during panel build system integration and startup.
- Perform on-site commissioning and troubleshooting of control systems.
- Collaborate with customers project managers and panel shop personnel to deliver turnkey automation solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Controls Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience in industrial automation or controls.
- Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming (e.g. Studio 5000 TIA Portal Ignition).
- Working knowledge of control panel design and UL508A standards.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site commissioning and support.
