Job Description

WHO WE ARE: The Elmhurst Park District established in 1920 and located 16 miles west of Chicago provides parks recreation facilities and programs to meet our mission of enriching lives while having fun. We have an excitingpart-time job opportunity as REGISTRATION CLERK! We are looking for clerks who have strong customer service skills and are comfortable multi-tasking between answering phones and processing registrations. We have two positions available:

  • Working night-time/weekends at the Mary Kies Rec Center and 185 (our temporary relocation site for Gymnastics & Dance Programs)
  • Working Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm at Administrative Office Building and Mary Kies Rec Center.


WHAT YOULL DO: Current and new program participants will look to you for assistance in registering for recreational programs and activities! Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Listening to customers questions/concerns/complaints (in person or over the phone) assist them or direct them to the appropriate manager if necessary.
  • Communicatinginformation to other registration/office clerks as needed.
  • Processing program registrations and withdrawals.
  • Processing pool pass registrations and create pool pass ID cards
  • Booking parties field trips and picnic permits
  • Assisting with class cancellations/expansions
  • Maintaining filing systemand an organized workspace
  • Running daily report for batching out and make daily bank deposits
  • Printing and posting daily class schedules.
  • Maintaining cash box and safe.


WHAT YOULL BRING:

  • High school graduate or equivalent with at least 1 years of customer service experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.


WHEN YOULL WORK:

  • Approximately 20 hours per week
  • Working night-time/weekends at the Mary Kies Rec Center and 185 (our temporary relocation site for Gymnastics & Dance Programs)
  • Working Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm at Administrative Office Building and Mary Kies Rec Center.



WHAT YOULL GET:

  • The starting pay for this position is $16.00/hour.
  • This position falls under Pay Grade D with a pay range of $15.25 - $25.50.
