You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis position will facilitate student learning at a small classroom setting embedded in a short-term suspension/restorative practices setting with the goal of decreasing learning loss for students suspended for substance use related violations of the Code of Conduct. Content will be delivered through the Canvas platform. The role of this staff member will be to offer academic and social emotional support to students in the program.
Experience working with substance abuse prevention intervention health promotion/education or related fields are preferred. Experience delivering social emotional prevention skills on self-awareness self-regulation goal-setting etc. will be very helpful.
Bachelors degree in education healthcare human services or research sciences.
Pay Grade NC14
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of working in a satellite program with a low level of daily management and a very high degree of accountability. The ability to build and maintain meaningful professional relationships with students that are navigating multiple challenges will be essential. Skill in tutoring direct instruction trauma-informed behavior management and collaboration with educators clinicians and administrators are necessary for success in this role.
The staff member must be capable to working with parents collaborating with other program staff members and be familiar with local resources for support within and outside of school settings.
This position is open to applications from licensed and non-licensed staff members. The position is full-time and grant-funded and will continue through the end of the 2025-26 school year. The position will be renewed upon review and approval of the external funder.
Full-Time
