Job Description

Were seeking a Robot Programmerto join our growing team!

Job Summary

  • Primarily responsible for configuration and setup for both small and large scale robotic projects
  • Configure and develop motion programs
  • Create offline robot simulations
  • Commission and debug machines at client sites
  • Setup robot Safety/Standard IO communications
  • Program multiple robot applications (welding material handling glue/sealer vision)
  • Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical and fluid power systems
  • Support client relationships and project scope; communicating project schedule requirements
  • Uphold safe work practices as per RidgeTech Automations policies and procedures
  • Responsible for reporting to and collaborating with the RidgeTech team


Job Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering Control Systems Robotics & Automation or similar education is required
  • Must have a minimum of 2 year of experience specific to the Controls and Industrial Automation industry
  • Robot programming experience with Fanuc Kuka Motoman or ABB is required
  • Robotic welding (spot or MIG) would be an asset
  • Programming experience with current PLC HMI VFD SCADA and motion control would be considered an asset
  • Must be a highly motivated team player with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and be able to communicate well with both clients and team members

    Other Requirements

    • Have reliable and dependable transportation for local travel
    • Hold and maintain a valid G license and valid passport (to travel to the U.S. and other countries)
    • Be willing to travel and be able to travel abroad without restrictions as required


    Although we strive to maintain a local workload both domestic and international travel will be required in this position.

    Locations and length of travel will vary depending on the projects and workloads at any given time.
