Wesleyan University is seeking applicants for the adjunct faculty position of Head Coach of Mens Tennis. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to organizing and administering all aspects of the Mens Tennis program including practice planning scheduling arranging for travel recruiting supervising an assistant coach and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. The successful candidate will also be expected to design and implement effective fundraising initiatives for the program and to recruit and coach highly competitive athletes. We are especially interested in candidates with significant experience in the coaching of tennis at the college secondary or club level and candidates who are able to mentor students in a challenging academic environment.
Duties will also include the teaching of for-credit physical education skills courses. Also the successful candidate must adhere to University NESCAC and NCAA Division III regulations. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Wesleyan is a highly selective liberal arts college that values both scholarship and teaching very highly and has a strong diverse undergraduate student body. This is an adjunct facultymulti-year appointment with a target hire date of September 1 2025.
