You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst (or Engineer) to support the Vessel Performance Dashboard (VPD) project. This role will be instrumental in bridging business needs with technical implementation ensuring that the dashboard delivers actionable insights for optimizing vessel operations across the LNG and Products fleets.
This Role is based out of HoustonTX.
Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and document detailed business requirements for vessel performance metrics. Comparative Analysis: Analyze and benchmark requirements against the existing LNG business implementation to identify gaps and opportunities for enhancement. Data Mapping: Map and align data models across multiple systems including RADAR GMAS and BOSS to ensure data consistency and integrity. Data Product Development: Design and build cross-system queries to generate data products that meet business needs. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between business users data engineers and developers to ensure alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle. Quality Assurance: Validate data outputs and ensure that the dashboard meets performance accuracy and usability standards.
Business Requirements & Data Products: Hull Performance (e.g. Hull Resistance Index) Fleet Profile (including fuel consumption) Actual Fuel Curves Utilization & Reliability Metrics BOG Optimization for Dual-Fuel (DF) Fleet Vessel Technical Profiles In-Port Consumption & Time Management Emissions Monitoring Cargo Heating Optimization Tank Cleaning Efficiency (Products Fleet bunker and time optimization)
Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data-driven projects preferably in maritime logistics or energy sectors. Strong understanding of data modeling and system integration across platforms like RADAR GMAS and BOSS. Proficiency in SQL or similar query languages for building data product designs (to hand over to the engineers to tune/implement). Excellent analytical problem-solving and documentation skills. Ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with vessel operations performance metrics or LNG/product fleet management is a plus.
Other Information:

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $83800.00 - $154300.00.
