Loan Support Specialist I

Wage Amount: $19.08 hourly minimum
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Credit Union in achieving its mission of becoming our members first choice as their partner to make informed financial decisions. Your role to achieve this mission will be to provide outstanding service to internal members and under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures to perform a variety of support functions for the membership. Support a sales and service culture. Maintain a working knowledge of all services and operations of the credit union.
Essential Functions:
- Fax daily ACH reports to dealers
- Respond to secure messages from members sent through online banking.
- Completion of assigned Synapsys Events to include but not limited to Collections Requests document requests release of liens and the removal of GAP MBP &/or Payment Protection
- Process all TDRs(Troubled Debt Restructures) Loan Extensions & Alternate Payment Structures
- Respond to emails sent () in regards to member loan questions and refer to appropriate departments when necessary.
- Complete all Skip-a-payment (SAP) & Change of Due Date (CDD) requests submitted by phone DocuSign Synapsys & fax.
- Prepare outgoing and distribute incoming mail for One La Costa departments.
- Work the lending inbox daily which includes but is not limited to- processing checks & return mail.
- Processing and Paying of Dealer Drafts
- Run daily batch of checks for One La Costa using check processing software. Send daily balancing reports to accounting.
- Perform indirect quality check on indirect loans after funding.
- Move electronic contracts and membership cards from file directory to imaging loan records or member records
- Move downloaded electronically signed documents via Docusign from file directory to imaging.
- Complete daily Closed Loan report by updating paid loans in imaging as CLOSED.
- Verify that all loan documents are in imaging from paper contracts received.
- Provide administrative support to the lending department.
- Assist with indexing documents for imaging
- Order supplies for the One La Costa office
- Perform other credit union functions and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- One year of general office experience preferred
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Able to work independently and as part of a team with the flexibility to adapt to change.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Skilled in MS Office including Word PowerPoint and Outlook. Excellent skill in Excel required.
- Basic math/accounting skills 10-key calculator by sight along with skilled use of phone system computer and all related software.
- Detail-oriented in order to provide accurate relevant and timely information to internal and external members.
