QUALIFICATIONS YOULL NEED
- Education: Masters degree in mental health related field required
- Licensing: Licensed Mental Health professional OR ability to become licensed within 2 years of hire
- Experience: Providing mental health services to low-income children and families
- Specialized Knowledge:
- Treatment strategies in neuroscience and trauma-informed care
- Children and family crisis intervention
- State/Federal regulations and Head Start performance standards
- Leadership Competencies: Minimum 5 years supervisory experience; demonstrated training and leadership skills
- Professional Competencies:
- Superior Emotional Intelligence capabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed approach
- Growth mindset and adaptability to innovative workplace culture
- Effective information dissemination abilities
WHAT YOULL DO
As a Mental Health Manager youll lead therapeutic excellence by:
- Supporting and ensuring quality social/emotional development services for children and families
- Supervising Integrated Support Specialists and Social Emotional Specialists
- Providing oversight of reflective practice and trauma-informed care implementation in preschool programs
- Assisting staff in supporting children/families with special social and emotional needs
- Utilizing observation accompaniment and recommendations to guide therapeutic interventions
- Implementing innovative Swivl video technology for enhanced therapeutic support
- Participating in agency planning and strategic development initiatives
- Promoting positive social and emotional development activities and training
- Staying current on State/Federal regulations and Head Start performance standards
- Leading training initiatives for children families and staff
- Fostering a growth mindset and innovative culture throughout programs
