Job Description
The Academic Interventionist is part of a dynamic team working to meet the needs of every student in a diverse population. In coordination with teachers and administration the Academic Interventionist provides in-class and pull-out support for students needing support or enrichment. The position includes communication and record-keeping as well as serving on two student support teams.
Essential Functions
- Work with individual and small groups of students in and outside of the classroom.
- Maintain records of student progress.
- Coordinate with classroom teachers and school administrators.
- As a member of the Student Advocacy Team help to identify students needing assistance or challenge work and provide resources.
- Provide support and resources to English-language learners.
Position Qualifications
- Passion for helping students.
- Willingness to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to research resources and best practices.
- Understanding of language acquisition.
- Teaching credentials are a plus.
Range: $48000 - $72000 Annualized
