Job Description

The Electronics Technician is broadly responsible for assembly testing high level troubleshooting and adjustment of both test equipment and electronic assembly.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs technical functions in support of both production and engineering activities such as set up operation maintenance calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electromechanical components and systems prototype models or specialized test equipment.

• Works from schematics diagrams written and verbal instructions.

• Conducts engineering tests to collect design data or assist in general research work.

• Diagnoses and isolates equipment and system malfunctions.

• Performs mechanical assembly per written and verbal instruction of production and prototype units. Uses hand tools with specified torque settings.

• Recommends changes in installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.

• Sets up standard test apparatus to conduct functional operational environmental and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.

• Maintains production records through use of production control software and defined process documentation.

• Contribute to team effort by performing other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary.

• Competency in assembly test and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies

• Ability to follow and read work instructions prints schematics drawings etc.

• Hands-on problem solving style.

• Verbal communication and writing skills.

• Self-motivated and self-directed

• Interest in production control and process tracking software a plus.

• Comfortable working in a team environment

• Sit and/or stand at workbenches/workstations perform computer tasks and paperwork sometimes for extended periods of time.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Target Base Salary Range: $32400 - $51700 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge skills and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

• 2 Year Electronic Degree or 4 years of demonstrated relevant experience.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
