Looking for a Program Manager opportunity at a place you can make an impact every day Discover this great opportunity with our Wideband Ground System portfolio team in Orlando Florida. In this role you will:
- Lead all phases of the program life cycle as well as grow and position the program for emerging opportunities.
- Lead a program organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporate the necessary internal and external stakeholders.
- Cultivate customer relationships and intimacy to achieve excellence in execution and develop further opportunities within the customer community.
- Manage all program activities and lead program review sessions with internal and external customers to deliver cost schedule and technical performance.
- Establish and manage the program and subordinate baselines.
- Identification distribution tracking and completion of program requirements.
- Develop and adhere to budget baselines for cost & schedule control
- Identifying allocating and managing program resources including workforce planning
- Participate in the negotiation of contracts contract changes specifications operating budgets schedule milestones and key terms and conditions.
- Support the larger organization in identifying developing and realizing organic and adjacent growth opportunities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- One of the following:
- Bachelors degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience
- Masters degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience as a program manager deputy PM or IPT/functional team lead on programs developing and delivering hardware and/or software
- Proven leadership and interpersonal communications skills with the ability to interface with all levels of employees including engineering and management
- Experience establishing relationships and managing customer expectations
- Experience leading a software development program(s) using Agile development methodologies
- Experience assigning and monitoring team and individual tasking to meet contractual requirements on schedule and within budget
- Experience leading in a government (preferably DoD) contracting environment
- Business acumen
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
- Ability to work on-site in Orlando Florida
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Understanding of the satellite communications domain particularly Wideband Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM)
- General understanding of technical concepts of systems engineering IT infrastructure networking software development cybersecurity networking virtualization and configuration management
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
- Masters degree in Business or a Software/Engineering discipline
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
