The Financial Analyst shall be working to support the Technology Finance team through various weekly monthly and annual deliverables. They shall assist in the general ledger detailed variance analysis payroll data reconciliation annual budget / forecast preparation and monthly financial reporting / month-end close analyses to internal leaders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform monthly headcount reconciliation and allocations between the financial system and payroll data to support monthly actuals and updates to forecast.
- Run standardized and ad hoc reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis to share with Tech Finance leadership.
- Run subledger reports out of Oracle to support the Finance team during month end close.
- Perform research and analysis of variances to plan by reviewing invoices and other journal entries posted by the Accounting team.
- Support the Finance team with annual budget preparations and analysis.
- Document processes and procedures ensuring it complies with Company guidelines and recommend process flow improvements.
- Perform backup function especially in cases of high volume or shortage of manpower.
- Escalate issues as appropriate.
- Assist the team with ad hoc analysis and projects throughout the year as needed.
Competencies
- Ability to work in a team driven environment yet be able to work independently to complete daily strong attention to detail and willingness to deep dive into data to pursue a final outcome.
- Ability to review and understand a subledger and accounting basics (debits credits accruals etc.).
- Ability to forge strong partnerships with other parts of the business outside of their direct team as needed to drive to an end goal.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills ability to correspond and speak with various parts of the business effectively.
- Comfortable with working in Excel and Google sheets.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and improve proficiency in the systems required.
- Ability to make accurate independent decisions based on data provided.
- Must be flexible and customer focused.
- Ability to follow through and meet deadlines consistently.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 2 years work experience with evidence of increasing responsibility and scope
- Someone who has already worked in a Shared Services as a staff analyst business analyst.
- Knowledge of variance analysis data mining month-end close requesting input for financial forecasting
- Firm understanding of CAPEX versus OPEX
- Very strong Excel skills vlookup if statements nesting statements pivot tables
- Knowledge of the Oracle and Hyperion systems is a plus
- Knowledge of English in speaking and writing at advanced level B2-C1 and Polish in speaking and writing at communicative level B1.
