Job Summary

As part of the CDO Data Shared Services team the Senior Analyst Enterprise Data Traceability & Controls will coach and develop team members (Lineage Analysts) responsible for all aspects of the data lineage lifecycle from the original source of the data to the point of consumption of the data into a report including any associated data transformations.

The ideal candidate will support other Data Shared Services capabilities as required like: Data Controls and Processes Access Management Reference Data Data Operations Data Quality.

What is the opportunity

As part of the CDO Data Shared Services team the Senior Analyst Enterprise Data Traceability & Controls will coach and develop team members (Lineage Analysts) responsible for all aspects of the data lineage lifecycle from the original source of the data to the point of consumption of the data into a report including any associated data transformations.

The ideal candidate will support other Data Shared Services capabilities as required like: Data Controls and Processes Access Management Reference Data Data Operations Data Quality.

The role reports to the Director - Enterprise Data Traceability & Controls

What will you do

  • Review understand and challenge documented lineage of CDEs from originating source to point of consumption of data into a report or other risk management activity.
  • Act as a secondary contact for all aspects of data lineage use reporting auditing and related issue management in support of manager
  • Assist to identify prioritize & deliver options to optimize service delivery processes and documentation.
  • Continually monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes and suggest improvements
  • Collaborate with other Data Management Offices Data Custodians and Data Stewards to align to data lineage reporting standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with SAKC and DQ Teams throughout Documented Data Lineage capture on risk mitigation and control gap identifications
  • Review the work of junior team members and provide direction on process and efficiency improvements
  • Develop knowledge and become valuable team resource supporting development of Data Lineage in general

What do you need to succeed

Must Have

  • Minimum of 4yrs experience in data management. data lineage capture data analysis or any other related data programs
  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent in Finance Data Analysis or other related programs
  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools such as Datameer SQL Pytho
  • Experience handling and deriving information from large data sets.
  • Experience with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls and compliance
  • Experience with data governance and metadata management tools such as Collibra
  • Experience handling and deriving information from large data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technology staff at different levels of seniority.

Nice to Have

  • Graduate / post-graduate or professional designations or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of deep and broad management consulting experience with an emphasis on business strategy or Process / Productivity Improvements
  • Lean or Process Improvement Designations
