Part Time on-call
Position pays $23.50 per hour plus gratuity

Opening in the summer of 2021 The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park is an architectural wonder on the edge of San Diego Bay and the heart of downtown. Years in the making The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park is the soaring culmination of a long-time civic desire to have a state of the art concert venue that elevates the experience of live music while also serving as a public center for all of San Diego. The Rady Shell expanded culinary program - The Shell Provisions - offers an impressive range of local specialties from some of San Diegos finest eateries and locally sourced options ranging from casual to upscale.
We are currently seeking Kitchen Helpers at the Rady Shell.
The Kitchen Worker is an entry-level general kitchen utility position responsible for performing a variety of duties related to culinary operations including preparation of hot and cold food items preparation of and replenishment of dishes for buffet presentation stocking of kitchen supplies and tasks related to the maintenance cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas.
The Kitchen Worker will follow all Sodexo Live! culinary standards to ensure that food product is of the highest quality in taste and appearance to satisfy guests and maximize food revenues.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for inclusion in daily menu offerings.
- Perform tasks outside of food preparation to support culinary operations.
- Comply with all established health sanitation and safety procedures.
- Contribute to goal of 100% customer satisfaction through personal commitment to customer service.
Qualifications/Skills:
Required:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in food preparation in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to follow written and oral direction.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently.
Other requirements:
- Must be able to work in extremes of cold to heat.
- Must be able to exert well-paced mobility to maneuver quickly among different areas of the facility. If you are interested in joining our team please apply in person.
