Position: Manager II Control Systems Engineer
Location: Seattle WA
Multiple Positions Available:
1. Provide proactive automation controls and technical support for fulfillment center operations focusing on maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance of equipment such as conveyors sortation systems scanners cameras print and apply systems and SCADA devices and programs.
2. Coordinate and plan work activities and mentor Control System Technicians (CST) and Control System Leads (CSL) to accomplish goals and objectives of North America Customer Fulfillment teams.
3. Work closely with building Operations Operations Engineering FC Start up Team AFT Software teams ACES team and Safety in supporting MHE systems optimization and project implementation.
4. Understand maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
5. Monitor MHE metrics and partner with maintenance/operations for system performance issues and provide analysis across all operations.
6. Act as first level escalation support for CST and CSL troubleshooting locally and remotely and repair all hardware or controls software systems within the building.
7. Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes and implement process improvements or retraining to avoid future incidents.
8. Domestic travel up to 80% to perform role responsibilities may be required. 100% telecommuting permitted work may be performed from anywhere in the U.S.
A Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering Industrial Engineering Systems Engineering or a related discipline and two (2) years of experience in control systems or electrical controls engineering occupation.
In the alternative employer will accept a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering Industrial Engineering Systems Engineering or a related discipline followed by five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience control systems or electrical controls engineering occupation.
Experience must include:
1. Two (2) years of experience in instrumentation and PLC HMI configuration SCADA system and/or AutoCAD; and troubleshooting with SLAM or Smart Pack System for shipping and labeling.
2. Two (2) years of experience in writing Quality Assurance and Machine Operation Requirements; and troubleshooting with Cognex or Sick camera using DataMan Software.
3. Two (2) year of experience in troubleshooting programming and simulating control systems; and working with Fulfillment Engine wall for rerouting products.
The pay range for this position in Seattle WA is $115211 - $137700 (yr); however base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position offered.
