Hitachi Energy has a exciting opportunity for a Project Management Lead in this key leadership role you will oversee the Project Management team ensuring the successful delivery of Gas Insulated Switchgear Live Tank breakers Hybrid technology solutions and the rest of the HV portfolio. You will be responsible for strategic oversight team development and driving results within a fast-paced culture. Your proactive results-driven approach will be crucial as you implement and execute projects from set-up through to final completion ensuring all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy contractual agreements quality standards health safety & environment requirements budgetary controls and financial targets.
How youll make an impact:
Lead and manage the Project Management team providing guidance mentorship and development opportunities.
Oversee customer projects from single unit switchgear deliveries to multi-million-pound Gas Insulated Switchgear projects.
Liaise extensively with both internal and external stakeholders acting as the main point of contact for key decisions.
Ensure satisfactory delivery of projects by working closely with factories customers and our Service team.
Maintain commercial responsibility for project financial KPIs: cost revenues cash flow.
Plan and schedule projects from start to completion following best practices according to policy and contractual agreements.
Mitigate risks and act as escalation point for project issues.
Drive the project plan forward actively participating in generating outcomes.
Analyze data create and share accurate project plans with regular updates.
Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy contractual agreements quality standards health safety & environment requirements budgetary controls and financial targets.
Background:
Engineering-related degree (electrical desirable but not essential).
Extensive experience and understanding of High Voltage switchgear.
Fluent in English both spoken and written with the ability to negotiate at all levels internally and externally. Other languages are considered advantageous.
Flexible to travel to UK customer sites and abroad to our manufacturing facilities as required.
High attention to detail.
Team player who holds themselves accountable and is ready to collaborate with others committed to achieving the end goal.
Financially literate able to read financial statements and negotiate costs.
Systematic proactive approach and efficient time management.
Leadership experience with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
