DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sets up and preps equipment and/or mold mixer
- Adjusting calibrating engaging controls
- Completes documentation for
- Spice usage
- Meat temperatures
- Batch weights or quantities
- Operate FOSS machine
- Unloads and opens boxes filled with frozen raw meat to be fed onto conveyor
- Check temperatures on meat blocks before dumping
- Monitors conveyor for any jams or pile ups
- Measures and adds required ingredients
- Operates equipment to create batches transports wagons filled with salami mixture to stuffing
- Operates Stuffing machine ensuring mixture is efficiently stuffed into casing
- Hand Ties Secchi and all artisan products
- Able to tightly tie product and uses sharp tool (knife) to cut strand
- Hangs salami onto tree racks and transports to holding area
- Housekeeping-Maintains a clean working environment- stacks empty boxes. Cleans area using hoses brushes or chemical solutions
- Wear all appropriate PPE. Work safely and use equipment only when trained.
- Report anything unusual including accidents breakage or malfunction of machineries and equipment to your line coordinator / supervisor.
- Performs required stretches and exercises.
- The employee must be available to work a minimum of 8 hours a day regardless of the department assignment and overtime when needed including weekends.
- May be assigned or required to perform other duties responsibilities and functions assigned by the production line coordinator and/or supervisor and/or production management.
- High school diploma desired
Educational and Job Experience Requirements
- Food industry and/ or manufacturing experience desired
- Basic English reading writing and comprehension skills
- Knowledge of basic Math
- Computer literate
Job-related Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge and skill of manufacturing and or production including but not limited to food manufacturing
- Ability to set up breakdown and assemble equipment
- Demonstrated and proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work with spices allergens and mold
- Strong knowledge of General Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and BRC standards
- Drives continuous improvement in both production process and occupational safety
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment maintaining a commitment to results.
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day regardless of the department assignment and overtime when needed including weekends and holidays.
- Line Coordinator backup: Ability to communicate in English (basic level)
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Fork Lift / Pallet Jack Certified

Physical Demands / Environmental Conditions
The essential functions of the job and working conditions requires the individual to walk stand stoop bend reach pull and push up to 1200 lbs wagons grasp and lift up to 75 lbs
The job requires the individual to work in a light to moderate noise environment and/or up to a high level of noise environment that requires mandated personal protective equipment. Working environment may include but is not limited to: the donning wearing and usage of hairnets smocks coats gloves boots glasses hearing protection and hard hats.
The position may be exposed to extreme climate (e.g. hot dry cold and wet) conditions; may potentially be exposed to allergens/mold.
Work ScheduleMay require flexibility to include overtime and weekends.
