Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Technician II to support quality assurance across all stages of production in a cGMP-regulated environment. This role is responsible for performing inspections identifying non-conformances assisting with investigations and ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures. The ideal candidate is organized dependable and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication time management and problem-solving skills are essential along with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive final reviews and approvals of production documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct detailed incoming inspections of raw materials components and supplies to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Lead and participate in internal and external quality audits at defined intervals to maintain certification and compliance standards.
  • Support the implementation management and continuous improvement of the Quality Hold process.
  • Maintain accurate and organized quality documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Support the calibration program by assisting in the scheduling monitoring and documentation of calibration activities.
  • Review and approve vendor label proofs ensure current labels meet specifications and authorize label release.
  • Coordinate and assist with the submission of new label applications to the National Institutes of Health.
  • Assist in onboarding and training of Quality Technician I staff and contribute to the development and execution of structured training plans.
  • Compile and submit departmental reports and metrics as required to support continuous quality monitoring.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports and data summaries for review by the Quality Management Team.
  • Regularly lead or contribute to cross-functional projects and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and encouraging team participation in required safety training and initiatives.

  • Actively support team operations and drive continuous process improvement by participating in team and departmental meetings as requested.
  • Maintain a current understanding of relevant certification bodies and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Complete all the required company training within designated timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams; confidently present information and respond to questions from management.
  • Demonstrate strong written communication skills including the ability to prepare clear reports business correspondence and procedural documentation.
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling proprietary and sensitive information.
  • Adhere to all cGMP requirements including the use of personal protective equipment (masks lab coats hair/beard nets) and compliance with hygiene protocols (no makeup perfumes acrylic or artificial nails or jewelry in cGMP work areas).
  • Manage multiple projects and shift priorities efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
  • Take ownership of responsibilities and proactively seek opportunities to learn and deliver high-quality results.
  • Apply excellent research troubleshooting and organizational skills to support quality processes.
  • Use sound judgment and adaptability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work setting.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associates degree in related field; and/or five years of related experience and/or training in a quality and/or laboratory setting.
  • Experience with continuous process improvement techniques.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures botanical guides plant identification manuals and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers. Strong attention to detail with solid knowledge of grammar and punctuation ability to proofread accurately and consistently.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

These are not required but are ideal for a successful candidate:

  • Associate degree in related field or four years related experience training in quality management systems or scientific/technical writing.
  • Experience developing Policy Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instruction documents in a manufacturing environment.
