The Raytheon Commodity Strategy Team has an exciting opportunity for aManager Commodity Management and Sourcing within Energetics & Propulsion Commodity Strategy. We are looking for an experienced candidate to develop commodity strategies aimed at minimizing supplier risk accelerating time to market and driving cost efficiency. The candidate would be responsible for the battery commodity within the Energetics & Propulsion portfolio.

In this role you will generate commodity strategies that support Raytheons Strategic Business Units (SBU). You will work closely with programs to understand the forecasted demand and with engineering to understand the technical requirements. Once developed you will coordinate with the SBUs to integrate the strategies into their Material Program Strategies (MPS). Also you will work with Product Commodity to transition strategies into execution. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Grow Maintain Reduce and Exit (GMRE) for the battery commodity. A deep understanding of the supply base will enable the success of the GMRE by knowing the capabilities and technological advances in the supply base.

Additionally you will support both RTX and SBU level Strategic Sourcing Reviews. In the process of developing your strategy you may lead market research analysis through Request for Information (RFI) and/or Request for Proposals (RFP). This can also include conducting Best Value Source Selection (BVSS) for strategic sourcing strategies.

This position will be onsite at a Raytheon facility. Relocation assistance is not provided.

What You Will Do:

  • Generate Energetics and Propulsion commodity strategies for Raytheon
  • Support RTX and business level Strategic Sourcing Reviews
  • Grow Maintain Reduce (GMRE) Supplier Management and Maintenance
  • Key partner in Best Value Source Selection (BVSS) and key pursuit sourcing strategies
  • Design and lead market research and sourcing strategies for focused technology areas
  • Lead cross functional / cross business strategy teams
  • Transition and hand-off strategies to execution teams
  • Identify and vet new and alternative sources
  • Develop strategic agreements that enable ongoing executable solutions

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in strategy development (market research identify opportunities and threats analyze data) and develop plans to materialize strategy
  • Experience in conducting Best Value Source Selections (BVSS)
  • Demonstrated ability to shape results in support of objectives including ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with complex customers
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and develop effective relationships based on respect and trust
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential
  • Cross-functional experience in Finance Integrated Supply Chain Business Development or Program Management
  • Technical (Engineering) experience or aptitude to gain technical product knowledge
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally if needed

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD - 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
