SWCECs School Adjustment Counselors are integral members of a multi-disciplinary team who create a safe and affirming therapeutic milieu that serves as the primary support for students with social-emotional disabilities. This position includes providing individual and group counseling for students with social/emotional disabilities using a variety of research-based counseling approaches. In addition our school adjustment counselors are leaders in our SEL instruction and PBIS programming. Counselors contribute to IEP development and progress reporting maintain regular communication with families and facilitate wrap-around services. Candidates must have an MSW LMHC LICSW or similar and must hold a MA DESE SAC license. In addition successful CORI fingerprinting and completion of SWCEC offered physical management training are required.
