Senior Production Process Engineer
The opportunity
As a Senior Production Process Engineer you will lead and develop production improvement projects in collaboration with production management R&D and quality teams. Your role as a senior productions process engineer involves daily engagement with production ensuring you are closely involved in the operational processes.
You will design and implement innovative solutions for managing standardizing and digitalizing our production processes. Additionally you will develop methods that promote a safe work environment ensure high quality and service standards and drive profitable operations.
Currently we are working on defining a new production line to be installed for increased capacity in the surge arrester production and you as senior process engineer will have a very important role in defining the production equipment and focusing on optimizing its performance to achieve top-level efficiency as well as defining a good work environment for the operators.
As the demand for surge arresters in the global electricity system continues to rise we are ramping up our production efforts. How youll make an impact
Your role will be understanding the materials in our processes with extra emphasis on polymer materials.
Be the technical lead of injection molding and polymer usage in the current process as well as in the upcoming production increase.
Follow-up and implement quality-enhancing measures and process improvement work in production.
Produce and compile statistics within the production sections and develop various follow-up systems in production and product testing.
Define and implement improvements in the operators work environment to facilitate everyday work on the workshop floor.
Participate and carry out process training within and outside the department.
Preparation and updating of instructions in cooperation with the production department.
Lead and participate in process improvement projects as well as be a member of investment projects as technical expert.
Participate in development projects together with R&D both at your own site and internationally within the company.
Develop the use of different digital systems in production in collaboration with maintenance production and IT department as well as contractors.
Your background
You have a masters degree in engineering of materials preferably with a focus on organic chemistry and polymers or work experience that provides similar qualifications.
You have several years of work experience in production production development or similar.
Good knowledge of efficient production LEAN.
Good knowledge of digital tools. (e.g. Office package SQL statistics)
Knowledge in project management is desired
You appreciate working in cross-functional teams and can be both a member and leader of the team.
Ability to work towards both short-term problems solving as well as long-term strategic goals
Fluent in English and Swedish both written and oral.
You have a B-driving licence. The position includes occasional trips both within Sweden and internationally.
