Lead a team revolutionizing how millions of customers shop globally on Amazon as the Software Development Manager for Cross Border Customer Experience. Were building solutions that enable customers worldwide to easily discover and purchase products across Amazons global marketplaces through sophisticated marketing personalization and localization technologies.
This is an opportunity to:
1. Shape the technical direction of global e-commerce features that make international shopping feel local and effortless
2. Drive solutions that help customers worldwide access Amazons vast selection of products

Key job responsibilities
1. Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team developing cross-border shopping experiences used by millions of customers daily
2. Drive technical solutions for personalized recommendations marketing and localized experiences supporting multiple languages currencies and payment methods
3. Architect scalable high-performance systems that power our international shopping experience
4. Balance technical excellence with business goals to define and execute our global expansion strategy
5. Work across frontend and backend systems
6. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities that fuel our growth
7. Build and maintain distributed systems in a complex multi-tiered environment
- 3 years of engineering team management experience
- 7 years of engineering experience
- 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers
