Description
What Youll Do
- Prepare and submit daily weekly monthly quarterly and annual FTZ documentation and reports to CBP and the FTZ Board.
- Manage daily FTZ admissions (e214); follow up and resolve any posting messages.
- Retrieve review and validate shipping documentation for foreign receipts.
- Reconcile foreign vs. domestic receipts and ensure data accuracy.
- Analyze and prepare weekly estimated entry (CF3461) and collaborate with our CBP broker to finalize CBP entries (CF7501).
- Maintain FTZ recordkeeping and retention program to meet all CBP requirements; reconcile inventory between FTZ inventory control systems and WMS.
- Support supply chain customs and logistics teams with data analysis and manage in-bond transactions.
- Investigate shortages and file discrepancy reports with carriers and CBP.
- Keep FTZ procedures and SOPs up to date and ensure they reflect current operations.
- Perform routine audits of FTZ operations customs filings security and inventory control.
- Partner with CBP during on-site compliance reviews and provide information as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen compliance.
Requirements
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain International Trade or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4 years of experience in FTZ administration.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Customs and Import Laws and Regulations (CFR 19).
- Familiarity with FTZ operations compliance inventory control and reporting.
- Working knowledge of other U.S. Government Agency regulations (EPA FCC FDA etc.).
- Ability to analyze technical data and accurately determine HTS classifications.
- Able to respond to CF 28 and CF 29 requests.
- Must pass a CBP CF 3078 background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in customs compliance international transportation or supply chain operations.
- Experience with FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping systems.
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) Certified Zone Specialist (CZS) Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Accredited Zones Specialist (AZS).
