As the Work Comp Manager at Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons P.C. you will build and develop relationships with area employers and insurance companies to support their Orthopaedic Workers Comp needs. Develop best practice program guidelines research the market and identify prospects. This role will also oversee in-house work comp coordinators to implement current procedures for assisting patients and companies with their Work Comp needs. Heres What You Can Expect
- Business Development. You will act as a liaison for Workers Comp Referring companies insurers patients and point of contact for in-house Providers. This will include attending conferences meeting with employers and insurance companies in the community. Meeting with Providers to discuss best practice and continued success.
- Oversight. Oversee in-house Work Comp Coordinators by assisting with calls when needed. Maintain and update guidelines and procedures for handling Work Comp issues and concerns related to patients insurance companies and employers. Demonstrate the initiative to improve quality and customer service.
- Program effectiveness. Set goals and expectations of program to identify areas of improvement. Communicate with internal resources to continue program success.
What Were Looking For
- Experience. Prior experience working in Workers Comp/Occupational Health setting. Including referring providers insurers case managers and employers.
- Communication. You communicate in a clear and professional tone. Communicate effectively regarding services with expertise to existing and prospective clients.
- Independent. Self-motivated and task-oriented to develop the Work Comp department by attending conferences and researching opportunities. Ability to problem solve any potential issues/concerns with program.
