Location: On-site in Southfield. Great care starts face-to-face and this role is hands-on.
Your Role as a Medical Assistant
As a Medical Assistant specializing in OB/GYN care youre not just supporting the teamyoure a crucial part of it. Your skills will ensure our patients receive personalized compassionate care throughout their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care and Support:
- Welcome patients warmly escort them to exam rooms and create a comfortable environment.
- Assist with OB/GYN-specific patient care including preparing for pelvic exams ultrasounds and gynecologic procedures.
- Vital Information Collection:
- Accurately measure and record vital signs ensuring the care team has the details they need.
- Gather and chart patients OB/GYN history and symptoms with precision.
- Diagnostics and Procedures:
- Perform injections vaccinations and assist with procedures like Pap smears and endometrial biopsies.
- Collect blood and urine samples including those for pregnancy tests and prenatal screenings.
- Education and Coordination:
- Educate patients on prenatal care contraception and other womens health topics empowering them to make informed decisions.
- Coordinate follow-up care and appointments to help patients stay on track with their health.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other team members to deliver seamless OB/GYN care.
- Pitch in where needed to ensure the team provides high-quality care.
