About this opportunity:
Cenovus is seeking a Reliability Engineer for our Superior WI refinery. The instrument and electrical reliability engineer has responsibility for instrumentation and electrical equipment reliability at the Superior Refinery. This position will be involved in PM development equipment troubleshooting and repairs and root cause failure analysis reporting among other duties. The goal is to eliminate defects eliminate repeat failures and ensure continual improvement of equipment reliability at the Superior Refinery.

What youll do:
- Focus on availability improvements from an Instrument and Electrical standpoint
- Responsible for the unit vulnerability studies and unit reliability road maps including long term reliability plans and goals for assigned units
- Champion of bad actor program including formal data (root cause) analysis and recommendations
- Develop obsolescence and long-range plans for Bad Actor or performance improvement equipment and development of mitigation plans.
- Utilizes failure data and reliability tools such as Risk Based Maintenance to optimize maintenance and equipment strategies in collaboration with discipline engineers
- Justifies and leads defect elimination micro projects (single discipline) for reliability/availability improvements
Who you are:
- Legally authorized to work in the US.
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Instrument /Electrical Engineering Technologist Degree.
- 8 of engineering experience in an operating refinery or chemical plant with similar responsibilities and deliverables or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated strong leadership communication skills and project management capabilities.
- Effective technological skills and proficiency.
