Job Title:
Supervisor II Deport/ M&R Procurement
Location:
Lombard/IL; This position will follow a hybrid work-from-home/office model with at least three days in the office weekly
Role Summary:
Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff; organizing and monitoring work process. SME on departments processes and existing services. Supports front-line staff on day-to-day tasks and resolves operational technical and/or tactical business issues. Maintains good working relationships with key vendors and partners. Lead role in depot / M&R rate analysis and approval.
Additional Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of 3-4 Analysts
Orienting and training employees
Provide direction to the employees in the dept. in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures.
Negotiate pricing with depot vendors
Take lead on depot rate review analysis approval
Collaborates with various teams to develop monitor and report on KPIs
Develop reports for measuring cost and volume metrics
Maintain depot rate databases in ONEs system
Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors
Assists with the onboarding process for new and existing depots.
Independently complete pre and post planning for depot procurement/onboarding.
Assist manager to oversee the depot procurement process.
Resolve invoice disputes and escalation

Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Inland logistics intermodal operations knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel including formulas relevant experience in Google suites aptitude for learning new data platforms
Prior transportation equipment experienced required
Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal
Strong troubleshooting skills
